ENGTT to simplify complexity and boost cyber resilience with expansion of GTT Envision and AI-enabled security framework, following major investments in 2025 that have grown its global internet backbone to world’s third largest.
GTT Communications Inc., a leading networking and security as a service provider for multinational organizations, has announced its strategic initiatives for 2026, building on a year of platform expansion into new locations, AI investment and services portfolio growth in 2025.
This year, the company will continue its focus on expanding and advancing GTT Envision, a platform that provides AI-enabled global networking across GTT and third-party cloud environments from the edge to the core. Leveraging its AI factory, GTT will introduce a new cybersecurity protection framework that will provide real-time detection and proactive assessment to inform and enable faster threat mitigation.

2026: Strategic Focus
In 2026, GTT will focus on three key priorities:
- Growing services portfolio
GTT’s portfolio, which includes SASE, Managed SD-WAN, security, internet, voice and other connectivity services, is set for additional developments:
- AI-Enabled Network Security: GTT will accelerate its proprietary product innovation with AI-enabled security solutions providing anomaly analysis capabilities. This will provide customers with proactive networking and security oversight by creating a dynamic environment for faster identification and incident containment.
- Expanded Hybrid Cloud Services: Building on its more than 10-year legacy of cloud services, GTT will expand compute capabilities at the edge, via GTT EnvisionEDGE devices, and in the core, via its globally distributed EnvisionCORE nodes. This enables a unified managed hybrid cloud environment spanning edge, private and public clouds under a single platform.
- Secure Networking Solutions: GTT will strengthen its Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offering with additional technology vendor options, as well as expand its existing offerings for 5G fixed wireless access and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connections. These enhancements will provide seamless, high-capacity services for enterprises seeking primary wireless access or backup solutions.
- Advancing the GTT Envision Platform
- GTT EnvisionCORE: Investments in GTT’s global Tier 1 internet backbone and core infrastructure will include deepening partnerships with leading connectivity partners, extending its managed cloud capabilities and growing its DDoS scrubbing capabilities. GTT’s global reach currently extends to more than 3,000 connectivity partners.
- GTT EnvisionEDGE: Expansion of the company’s on-premises capabilities will address enterprise needs such as AI workload acceleration, local edge compute and edge security, bringing compute, security and intelligence closer to where data is generated and used.
- GTT EnvisionDX: New capabilities set to launch in 2026 include an enhanced agentic web experience for rich contextual dialogues and personalized journeys, as well as self-service activation for zero-touch provisioning.
- Leveraging GTT’s AIfactory to transformemployee, customer and partner experience

- Reached 700+ terabits of capacity across its Tier 1 network, becoming the third-largest global backbone, as recognized by CAIDA
- Significantly grew revenue for the company’s Enhanced Services portfolio, including Managed SD-WAN, SIP Trunking, and Professional Services every quarter in 2025

- Released the fifth generation of its GTT EnvisionEDGE device, enabling customers to rapidly and virtually build up to 35 different service-chain configurations using their choice of 11 different virtualized functions
- Expanded its partnership with Palo Alto Networks to offer a new single-vendor SASE offering as part of its Secure Connect portfolio
Market Expansion
- Extended the reach of GTT EnvisionCORE with new Points-of-Presence in Argentina, Chile, China, Colombia, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea and Thailand
- Expanded SIP Trunking capability in Japan for its voice services
- Launched a new logistics hub in Singapore, complementing its Austin and Prague locations to accelerate equipment delivery and network deployments for customers across the globe
- Grew the total Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) scrubbing capacity of GTT Envision to 4 Tbps by opening new locations in São Paulo, Hong Kong and Miami
